Chapter 3 Chemical Manufacturing Facilities

This chapter addresses methodologies of source categories related to manufacture of chemicals and chemical products in the Bay Area, including products such as coatings, inks, resins, pharmaceuticals, sulfur, and sulfuric acid. The estimated emissions include process emissions as well as fugitive emissions and leaks. However, combustion emissions produced in generating energy for equipment operation at manufacturing facilities are covered in Chapter 7.
