Chapter 4 Other Industrial and Commercial Processes

This chapter focuses on methodologies for estimating emissions from a broad range of operations occurring at different scales across industrial facilities for manufacturing operations (except chemical manufacturing and petroleum refining) in the Bay Area. Examples of such operations include cement manufacturing, plastic products manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, fermentation at wineries, oil and gas production, and sand blasting. The methodologies covered in this chapter predominantly address process-level pollutant releases, although combustion emissions may also be included (e.g., for cement manufacturing).
